Join the Da Nang Holi Festival 2025

Holi, the Hindu Festival of Colors, has found an unlikely second home on Da Nang’s coast. In 2025 the city hosted one of its most colorful events of the year: the Da Nang Holi Festival, held on Saturday, March 15th, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Furama Resort Da Nang. Here’s what the day was like, what it cost, and how to plan if you want to join a future edition.

What the Da Nang Holi Festival Is Like

In India, Holi celebrates the arrival of spring and the victory of good over evil. The Da Nang version keeps the heart of the tradition, throwing clouds of colored powder at friends and strangers alike, and moves it to a tropical beachfront setting. The 2025 event at Furama Resort included:

• Music and dancing: a mix of traditional Indian tunes and modern tracks to keep the crowd moving all afternoon.
• Color play: the main event. Expect to leave covered in pink, yellow, green and blue powder.
• A family-friendly crowd: children under 12 got in free, so plenty of local and visiting families came along.

• Adult ticket: 400,000 VND (about $16 USD)
• Children under 12: free
• Included: a 500g bag of Holi color powder per ticket

How Tickets Were Sold

The 2025 festival was organized by Danang365, and tickets were sold directly through the organizer (via a QR code in its promotional video and by email). Furama’s lawns and beachfront made a great backdrop. The open space means the color clouds drift out over the sand, which is a big part of what makes the photos so striking.

Tips If You Go

• Wear white clothes you don’t mind ruining. The powder washes out of skin but often stains fabric.
• Protect your phone and eyes. A cheap waterproof phone pouch and sunglasses make a big difference.
• Oil your skin and hair first. A layer of coconut oil or moisturiser makes the color much easier to wash off afterwards.
• Plan your ride home. Taxis may not be keen on colorful passengers, so bring a towel to sit on or a change of clothes.

Holi falls in March each year, following the Hindu lunar calendar.
